Watch: One Piece Chapter 1048 Release Date Spoilers Cast & Time Revealed!

 After a brief delay due to the manga’s Golden Week celebrations, the release date and time of One Piece chapter 1048 have been confirmed. The stars seem to have aligned once more for One Piece over the last few months. Since the adaptation reached 1000 episodes last year, the anime series has seen a significant improvement. Video games and theatrical movies are also getting their hype train started.

All attention now turns to the original manga series. Unfortunately, it was absent from our Sunday schedules last week. One Piece chapter 1048 was delayed due to Golden Week in Japan. However, a new release date has been announced online.

One Piece Chapter 1048 Release Date

The One Piece manga series was not released on the May 1 st that many would have expected. The good news is that it isn’t a series-specific hiatus. Weekly Shonen Jump took a break last week due to the Golden Week celebrations. Golden Week is a series national holidays. It runs from April 29 th through May 6 .th. It is well-known as one of Japan’s busiest periods throughout the year.

There are four national holidays that run through Golden Week: Showa Day (the birthday celebration of the late Emperor Showa), Constitutional Memorial Day, Greenery Day (celebrating the environment and nature), and Children’s Day.

Many businesses will close to celebrate the Golden Week and allow their employees time off so they can participate in the festivities. This includes the manga industry, and especially One Piece and its publishers at Weekly Shonen Jump.

One Piece Chapter 1048 Spoilers

The good news is that the One Piece manga’s release will not be affected by the Golden Week break. According to the series’ page Viz Media One Piece chapter 1048 will be released on Sunday, May 8, th.

The new chapter will be available worldwide via Viz Media or Manga Plus at the following times:

  • Pacific Time – 8:01 AM PDT
  • Eastern Time – 11:01 AM EDT
  • British Time – 4PM BST
  • European Time – 5:05 PM CEST
  • India Time – 8:30 PM IST
  • Philippine Time – 11:59 PM PHT
  • Australia Time – 12:30 AM ACST

Every One Piece manga fan knows that chapters can trend on social media days before the release, in some cases even a week ahead of the release, as in the case with chapter 1048 thanks to leaked spoilers.

While many fans try to avoid spoilers, there are still large numbers of people who love to read and understand every piece of information that is available online.

The spoilers for One Piece chapter 1048 have been revealed online by OPspoiler. The chapter’s title is “20 Years”, and it opens with Luffy protecting Momonosuke against Kaidou while he continues to move Onigashima.

The flashback to Oden’s execution is then shown. Kaidou’s brutality and Orochi’s regime are further cemented by the killing of protestors including Oden’s wife and the enslavement of many of the rest of the population.

The most exciting part of the spoilers is about Denjiro’s return…he cuts off Orochi’s head in no time. The earlyspoilers noted that “Orochi has not yet been confirmed dead”, but you can see the wishes of civilians praying for Orochi in the sky.

The chapter ends with Kaidou & Luffy clashing again with the population in Wano throwing their lanterns into space. Fans are reminded to take leaked spoilers with a grain of salt. They only increase excitement about new manga content.
